Upshernish

A fun theme for an Upshernish! This has got to be the easiest cake I ever made!! Just a basic yellow cake with chocolate icing! Then place dump trucks on top and some dirt (brown sugar) and some added mounds of more dirt! (icing!). You can get even more creative here and add crushed sandwich cookies, chocolate 'rocks' and wafers for logs!. Add Aleph beis cookies to sides of cake or road signs that say "Mazal Tov"!

In making this Upshernish for friends in our community who had twins, I used what they love best as a theme! Construction and trains! Here I used a roll of dried moss, some orange cones, yellow hard hats and dump trucks to hold candy! The trains were made in a train cake mold! so much fun!

Plain simple paper bags with a label and some tissue on top keeps things sweet and simple. Have fun with the favors! (Inside these were play dough, cars and scratch and sniff stickers).

Laminated Aleph Champ Aleph Beis Cards, with stickers to match theme. These were great to drizzle honey on for the boys to lick! Easy to clean and then a nice token to keep.

Use a basic cake mold and make it stand out with just a little piping of icing sugar mixed with either water or maple syrup. Keep it a thick consistency to avoid dripping:)

I used Aleph Champ flash cards and punched two holes in the top and threaded ribbon through to create an Aleph Beish garland. This brough the whole decor together and was inexpensive and easy. After the Upshernish I hung it up in our boys room.

    Question about the aleph bais gummies, did you buy them or write each letter with icing on circle gummies?
