A fantastic healthy take on Challah!

Ingredients:
2 Tbsp. Sugar
1/2 cup warm water
2 squares of dry yeast
1 Cup oil
1 cup raw sugar
little more than half cup flax meal
1 Tsp. salt
3 eggs
3 cups warm water
golden raisins (optional)
flour to your desire: 6 white flour, 4 whole wheat flour
Directions:
Sprinkle yeast into warm water and add sugar and stir gently. Let sit until foamy about 5 minutes. In a mixer (or bowl) add all other ingredients except flour and stir. Add yeast mixture when foamy and stir again. Add 6 cups white flour and 4 cups whole wheat flour . (If too sticky add more of either type of flour until no longer sticky).
Using a dough hook mix until dough is not sticky and bounces back when touched.
Place in a bowl and pat with a little oil, cover with plastic wrap and let rise for 1 1/2 – 2 hours.
Shape dough and let rise another half hour. Coat with beaten egg wash ( beat 1 egg to baste Challah’s ) and bake at 350 degrees for 30 – 40 minutes.
