Ok…here it is!!
So we are all getting dressed up as Scuba Divers for Purim in the Sea!! And honestly I can assure you that real scuba diving is  MUCH easier than getting our family to take a Pre-Purim photo on erev Shabbos!
Yes…I know what you are thinking…worst time to ever try taking a picture but in all honesty…this is really my personal gift to myself…a happy smiling picture to capture the simcha and create memories! Â I know what tomorrow will look like with a minyan in my living room at 8:00am and Caterers at 10:00am…no family picture then!
It was only 25 minutes until Shabbos and two people still needed to shower but thankfully my oldest was home from Yeshiva and he set up my camera on the tripod and adjusted the setting to snap a series of 10 photos in a row.
Serioulsy!! 40 pictures later, mostly ones of our special needs son melting down in my arms, pre-teen kids asking me why are we doing this? and flippers being stepped on, laughter and tears together…depending on the moment and the child….we actually had fun!
A tiny bit of worry came to mind as I thought of what the neighbors were thinking as I’m singing the “wheels on the bus”(Â to help settle Chaim Boruch) in between “JUST SMILE!!” ….you know…you do what you gotta do!
So here it is, the perfect, relaxed, calm fabulous, fun, purim family photo!
Wishing you all a Freilichin Purim with much Hatzlocha for all your events! May you have more people than you expected and more food than you planned! May your Mishloach Manos be received warmly and may your communities be inspired!
May we merit Purim in Yershalayim right now with the coming of Moshiach!
